Configuring a Static IP Address on a VIVA  (Advanced)

Network experts can set a static IP address for their VIVA. Not recommended for the general user.

Using a Static IP Address

WARNING: Consult with your IT department before making these changes. Please note that if you move the VIVA to a new location without turning DHCP back on, you may lose access to the interface of the VIVA. Using a static IP address is not recommended for VIVAs that will travel to different locations.

  1. Find your VIVA’s IP address and enter that IP address into the browser of a computer on the same network.
  2. Log in with the credentials provided to you via the VIVA documentation.
  3. On the left hand panel, select System > Network.
  4. Toggle the DHCP option to OFF.
  5. Change the Local IP Address as well as the Local Netmask and Default Gateway if needed.
  6. Select the Save button at the bottom of the Network Configuration window.
  7. You will now access the VIVA interface via the static IP you chose and entered.
