Configuring a Static IP Address on a VIVA (Advanced)
Network experts can set a static IP address for their VIVA. Not recommended for the general user.
Using a Static IP Address
WARNING: Consult with your IT department before making these changes. Please note that if you move the VIVA to a new location without turning DHCP back on, you may lose access to the interface of the VIVA. Using a static IP address is not recommended for VIVAs that will travel to different locations.
- Find your VIVA’s IP address and enter that IP address into the browser of a computer on the same network.
- Log in with the credentials provided to you via the VIVA documentation.
- On the left hand panel, select System > Network.
- Toggle the DHCP option to OFF.
- Change the Local IP Address as well as the Local Netmask and Default Gateway if needed.
- Select the Save button at the bottom of the Network Configuration window.
- You will now access the VIVA interface via the static IP you chose and entered.
