Overlays

Overlay 1 and Overlay 2 allow you to display full-screen graphics—like logos or bugs—on top of scheduled programming using PNGs or CASTUS Cuts Projects.

Adjacent to the Default slots are two labeled Overlay 1 and Overlay 2. Overlays are perfect for adding a station logo or bug on top of your scheduled programming. They are intended to cover the entire screen, so we recommend using a properly sized PNG with the image positioned exactly where you want it to appear. Overlay 1 and Overlay 2 function the same, giving you two opportunities for overlays in your schedule.

  1. Navigate to your schedule.
  2. Find the item you want to use as an overlay in your library widget.
  3. Click and stick the item into the slot below Overlay 1 or Overlay 2.
  4. Save your schedule.

Alternatively, you can import the desired media into a CASTUS Cuts Project, adjust its size and placement, and then assign the completed project to an Overlay slot.
